City wedding at the Oxford Hotel in Denver, CO

When the lovely ladies Krista & SeaAnna from Curate Events + Design reached out to me about Allie & Peter's wedding, I got all excited.

Not only was the Oxford Hotel as a venue new to us, but it had a modern, industrial feel and the color palette for the wedding was something unique as well.

They were looking for a classic touches with a simple hints of dusty blue, lavender and copper. The bridesmaids dresses were a perfect blend of the dusty blue and lavender what we paired with "copper toned" bouquets.

Allie and Peter were a perfect example of an elegant and fun couple, and it made sense for them to have color at their wedding. Allie even wore colorful shoes to match the bridesmaids dresses and Peter's tie!

The ceremony was held at the Oxford Theater where we decorated a copper arch with blooms from the palette.

The reception was held upstairs at the Oxford Ballroom.

They had a long head-table what we decorated with a greenery garland and tucked some flowers for some added color. Of course, votive candles were added to the mix to bring out some fall romance.

For the round tables we designed floral centerpieces but also the bridesmaids bouquets were repurposed on some of the tables, and other places around the reception area.

As you may know, my favorite design item for weddings are the bridal bouquets, and Allie's was no exception. I used a lot of locally grown products as well as some roses and dahlias from our own garden to create her bouquet, but I think that lavender clematis was my favorite addition.

And of course we never forget the men. Peter and the groomsmen boutonnieres were made with white ranunculus, dried lavender, gomphrena and other textural elements. Aren't they so cute?

Absolutely loved working with Allie & Peter and the team Curate. Sometimes stepping out of the comfort zone and working with a new color palette can be refreshing. This wedding sure was one of those weddings, and I will forever cherish the opportunity to be a small part of Allie and Peter's special day.

Kind words from the bride:

"I had a great experience using Laura/Lumme Creations as my florist and highly recommend her. Laura was excellent to work with--she was very professional and organized and communicated details clearly and in a timely manner. She listened carefully to my feedback and on top of that she's all around sweet person. The flowers/decorations that she put together for the wedding were stunning! She did an amazing job coming up with beautiful designs in line with what I had requested. I loved the flowers and also received many compliments from my guests as well. I felt that she made the whole process feel easy and I was super happy with the end result."
